William Hubbard Hatchett

William Hubbard Hatchett, 67, a resident of 4309 Spencer Street, died at 1 p.m. Sunday following an illness since Christmas of 1957.

Funeral service were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Gray Sorrells and Sons Funeral Chapel. Roy Hendricks and J. M. Stringer officiated at the service and burial was in the Sullivan Cemetery.

A native of Hunt County, Mr. Hatchett was born Nov. 10, 1891, and was the son of William Hatchett and Sadie Smith Hatchett. He had spent his entire life in Hunt County and was a farmer and a saw filer. He was a Jehovah Witness. (This line has been inked out.)

On August 28, 1920, he was married to Miss Evie M. Neely in Hugo, Okla. She survives. Others survivors include a son, W. T. Hatchett, Greenville; five daughters, Margie Miller, Dallas, Mary Miller and Dorothy Slocom, Arlington, Bessie Potter, Fairfield, California and Letta Mae Ramsey, Sherman. One daughter, Maggie Carter died in 1952.

Also surviving are six sisters, Uva McNeely and Myrtle Arnold, Celeste, Kate Fox, Dallas, Kissie Blyth, New Mexico. Ada Folley, Texas and Nannie Isham, Greenville; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. One sister preceded him in death.
