Willis Howell Luna
Funeral services for Willis Howell Luna, 87, of 905 Reese, Greenville, were at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 17, 1986, at the Johnson Street Church of Christ, with Randy Daw and Buddy Hudson officiating and with burial in Forest Park Cemetery.
Mr. Luna died on Wednesday, April 16, 1986, in Citizens General Hospital.
He was born in Hunt County on November 23, 1898, to Manley Luna and Sarah Clinton Luna, and was married in Greenville on September 12, 1919, to Thelma Duncan.
Mr. Luna, a member of the Johnson Street Church of Christ for fifty-four years, was a retired house painter.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Luna of Greenville; a daughter, Mary Alice Vaughn of Celeste; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
Pallbearers were Sam Denney, Ralph Barnes, Pete Hathaway, Homer Lawrence, John Little, and C. W. Spainhour. Honorary pallbearers were elders of the Johnson Street Church of Christ, Foster Ramsey, and Evla Baker.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
