Willis M. Williams, 70, of Greenville died Feb. 2, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel, 5100 Interstate 30, with Rev. Howard Strickland officiating. Burial is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Grove Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers are David Roesler, Billy Roesler, Harold Burkett, Jackie Hamm, Ronnie McCrummens and Dwayne Adams.
Born July 6, 1936, in Dallas County, he was the son of Travilla and Jewell Burkett Williams. He married Sherial Roesler on Jan. 2, 1965, in Cameron.
Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army. He was a rancher and retired from AirGas.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Norland Crow of Crandall; a son and daughter-in-law, Curtis and Robin Williams of Houston; sister Sue Shiels of Greenville; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Williams, Ashley Crow and Dylan Williams; and one great-grandchild, Brooklyn Reese Crow-Banks.
He was preceded in death by his father on April 29, 1999, and his mother on Dec. 9, 2006.
