Wilma Jewel Windham Kalies, 84, of Greenville died the morning of June 6, 2006, at her residence. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Gordon Grammer officiating. Burial will be at Memoryland Memorial Park. The daughter of Ottis Lee and Ruby Murel McBurnett Windham, she was born Aug. 1, 1921, in Paris. On April 26, 1943, she was married to Richard Joseph Kalies in Waco. She was a homemaker, and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Kalies was a member of Southside Church of Christ. Wilma Kalies inspired her family through a well-lived life of faith, love and purpose. She will be greatly missed and always celebrated. Surviving are her husband of Greenville; two daughters, Ricki Lynn Malone of Duncanville and Deborah Ann Merrick of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Alma Jane Caryl of Greenville; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death. Pallbearersare Sam Merrick IV, Rick Merrick, Jon Malone, Jeremy Malone, Todd Olander and Brett Duncan. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
