CADDO MILLS — Yuba Valerie Caldwell Crump, 90, of Irving died June 26, 2006, in Irving. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rentfrow Funeral Home chapel in Caddo Mills with Rev. Jerry McGinn officiating. Burial is at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville. The daughter of Henry and Mariah Jewel Crawford Caldwell, she was born Aug. 30, 1915, in Cash. She was married to Alvin Boyd Crump and was a homemaker. Survivors are a son, Jeffery Thornton of Irving; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancie and Bobby Thornton of Irving; grandchildren Jeffery Thornton of Irving and Charla and husband Greg of Frisco; two great-grandchildren, Andrew and Connor Matlack; and a brother, Elber Caldwell and family of Taylor, S.C. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin and Boyd Crump, parents, and son Charles A. Crump who was killed in Vietnam; a brother, Ellis Caldwell and sister, Velma Cox. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
