Tom West
Celeste, July 27 (Spl)--Tom West, former Celeste mayor, this week was named basketball coach at Weslaco High School.
West, an assistant basketball coach at Roy Miller High School for the past two years, succeeds Sam Stovall, who has accepted a coaching position at San Marcos.
A graduate of Ladonia High School, West received his bachelor's and master's degrees from East Texas State.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. West, Celeste, and the husband of the former Sara Stone, formerly from Celeste.
