Haley
Wolfe City-Funeral services are scheduled at 2 p.m. today for Mrs. Ellie J. Haley, 56, who died Friday in a Greenville hospital.
Services will be held in the Owens Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Renfro officiating. Her nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will be in Webb Hill Cemetery.
Born on Sept. 23, 1915, Mrs. Haley was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willie M. Swindell. She was married March 30, 1936, in Fort Worth to Leslie B. Haley, who survives her.
Mrs. Haley managed Haley’s Supermarket in Wolfe City. She was a member of Terrace Acres Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
Other survivors include three sons, Leslie O. Haley of Ft. Rucker, Ala., Arthur Lee Haley of Heidelburg, Germany and Jack Lynn Haley of Greenville; three brothers, Clyde Swindell of Alba, Bobby Swindell of Ft. Worth and Noah C. Swindell of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Rollins of Wolfe City and Mrs. Lydia Taylor of Ft. Worth; and seven grandchildren.
