Judd G. Swindell

Wolfe City--Funeral rites for Judd G. Swindell, RR 1, Wolfe City, will be held at Webb Hill Baptist Church, Wednesday, October 12, 1955, at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Hugh Davis, pastor, conducting the services.

Mr. Swindell died at a Wolfe City hospital about 7:30 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 1955. He suffered a heart attack about twelve hours earlier.

Assisting the pastor in the services will be the Reverend E. G. Nelson, Wolfe City, and the Reverend C. W. Bishop, Texarkana. Pallbearers will be Clarence Scott, Arthur Seals, Fred Scott, Curtis Haywood, Sid Burkett, and Richard Harrell.

Interment will be at Webb Hill Cemetery.

He was born August 5, 1880, in Mississippi, the son of Nathan Swindell and Betty Swindell. He came to Texas in 1892 and was married to Miss Beulah Sinclair on November 28, 1901. To this union, seven children were born, five preceding him in death. He had lived around Wolfe City for sixty-three years. His occupation was farming.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Lou Payne, Wolfe City; one son, Louis Swindell, Grand Prairie, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Snyder, Fort Worth and Mrs. Allie Barker, Burton, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

R. W. Owens and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
