One of the most delightful socials of the season
was enjoyed Friday night at the White Rock High School Auditorium.
White Rock has just had an active PTA for some two
months, but it is recognized as one of the most wide-awake rural associations.
There was some fifty-six parents and teachers present.
This was just a good old-fashioned happy get-together meeting. From
the very first there was fun for all. Many games were enjoyed.
These were conducted by Misses Nell Brooks and Rogene Rice, teachers.
At the conclusion of these, Mrs. Marion Green was awarded the booby prize.
Music was furnished throughout the evening. Several vocal duets were
given by Misses Hazel Claiborne and Ernestine Claiborne.
A delicious plate luncheon was served by the tenth
grade home economic girls, assisted by their teacher, Miss Rice.
White Rock is proud of their PTA and we are enjoying
one of the best schools in years. The teachers are Mr. and Mrs. J.
A. Fortenberry, Mrs. Kelly E. Clifton, and Miss Nell Brooks, and Miss Rogene
Rice.--Reporter.
