I would like to offer "additional cemetery info" for my gg-grandparents, "F. M. GREEN" and "E. S. L. GREEN" who are buried in Elmo Cemetery. There is a single grave marker with both names (on opposite sides) for these two graves.Although I don't yet have substantial proof of this additional data, I have a high confidence level in the accuracy. The data is a consolidation of notes from personal interviews with: 1) a daughter of this couple, Mary Elizabeth GREEN BOON, while she was living ca. 1936, 2) a granddaughter of this couple, Nola Florena "Flo" BOON PARKER, while she was living ca. 1936, and 3) a g-granddaughter of this couple, Elizabeth Flo PARKER WEEKS (my mother), while she was living ca. 1936, all recorded by Warren Brinson WEEKS ca. 1936 in his genealogical notes.
"F. M. GREEN" was fully named Franklin McConaco GREEN, bn. Feb. 2, 1832 (probably McNairy Co. TN), d. May 27, 1901 (consistent with grave marker) probably in Kaufman Co. TX. "E. S. L. GREEN" was fully named Elizabeth Sarah Lavina McKENZIE, bn. Sep. 29, 1835 in (or near) Stantonville, McNairy Co. TN, d. Nov. 16, 1906 (consistent with grave marker) probably in Kaufman Co. TX. This couple was married ca. 1854, probably in McNairy Co. TN. Their eldest of 5 children was Robert D. GREEN, b. 1859, d. 1924, who is buried nearby in that same Elmo Cemetery.
Incidentally, I currently have the "double" (non-standard size ... ) bed, made of cherry wood, which F. M. and E. S. L. GREEN reportedly brought with them when they moved from TN to TX ca. 1880. It still has a "Railway Express" shipping label, addressed to "O. A. Boon" in "Seymour, Texas", resulting from the family distribution of estate belongings after the death of E. S. L. GREEN in 1906.
