Funeral services for John Mark Wall, age 47, of the Redland
Community west of Centerville were held at 2 PM, Sunday, May 10, at the Redland
Community Baptist Church. Rev. Brent Williams, pastor of the Redland Baptist
Church, officiated. Burial was in the Wall Ranch Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home
in Centerville was in charge of arrangements.
John Mark Wall was born in Madisonville on October 14, 1961 to L. C., Jr. and
Grace (Reynolds) Wall. He was a lifelong resident of the Redland Community in
Leon County, west of Centerville. He loved many kinds of music, but Elvis
Presley music was his favorite. He was a "rancher's helper" and assisted his dad
with ranching chores. John Mark enjoyed good food, especially good coffee, and
being with his large family. He was "spoiled" by his family because he was a
very special son, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Milton and Annie Reynolds and Clyde and Lola Wall and by a
brother, Len Wall. John Mark passed away on May 6, 2009 in Madisonville.
Surviving family members include his parents, L.C. and Grace Wall of the Redland
Community; two brothers and sisters-in-law. Benny and Becky Wall of the Evans
Chapel Community in Leon County and Lowell and Nancy Wall of DeMotte, Indiana;
three sisters and brothersin law, Marilyn and Greg Vornkahl of Bellville, Texas,
Angela and Joe Garcia of Dallas and Kathleen and Holloway Frost of Houston; 18
nieces and nephews: Melanie Emert and her husband Anthony, Benjamin Wall, Jr.
and his wife Crystal, Avery Wall, Stan Keeling, Jr., Lexie Wall, Marissa Wall,
Trenna Buchanan, Kacie Wall, Shelby Wall, Walker Wall, Kutter Wall, Brier Wall,
Kadynce Wall, Travis Wall Vornkahl, Henry Wall Vornkahl, "Joe Len" Garcia,
GraceAnn Garcia and Katherine Garcia and one great niece, BreAnn Emert.
