This cemetery is located two and
one half miles south of Mexia on the Avarado (Rado) Steele farm.
Avarado Steele and his wife, Virginia (Jennie) Bennet Steele, lived on this
place for many years.
Avarado was a veteran of the Civil War.

There are two unmarked baby graves. Mattie McCleskey said that they
were graves of children
belonging to tenant farmers that lived on the home place.
