J. L. Adams Found murdered in Tank on Thomas Farm.
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ, of which he was a member, for J. L. Adams, age 51, Friday afternoon at 5 o'clock. A great host of friends and relatives attended the service for this man whose useful life was ended at the hands of ruthless murderers.
Mr. Adams was well known in Groesbeck and highly respected. He had for several years been the mamager of the Parker and Adams Dairy Farm, relinguishing that position sometime last fall. MR. Adams had lived in Mexia at one time and was residing in Thronton at the time of his death.
Surviving the deceased is his wife; his son, Dwaine Adams of Groesbeck; daughter, Mrs. Cora Bell O'Neal of Houston; brothers; Jim Adams of Houston, Andrew Adams of Ocola, Florida; sisters, Mrs. A. P. Graham of Palestine, Mrs. J. C. Whitmire of Corpus Christi and his 76 year old mother, Mrs. E. A. Adams of Palestine.
