COLORADO CITY ~~ Services for A. B. Carroll were held at Kiker Chapel at 2
o'clock with the Rev. Homer Sheats, pastor of the Church of God at Big Spring
officiating.
He was killed Saturday night near Coahoma in a head on collision between a car
and a truck.
Carroll had made his home in Big Spring for the past year
where he was employed in a steel transportation business.
He was born in Grapevine November 28, 1917 and married Dorothy Lacey at Big
Spring March 24, 1942. He was recently given an honorable discharge from the
Navy.
Survivors include his widow; mother, Mrs. Maggie Carroll of Colorado City;
sisters, Mrs. Alma Tolson of Fort Worth, Mrs. Alta Ryan, Snyder, Mrs. Edna
Glaze, Snyder, and Mrs. Johnnie Vaughn, Midland; two brothers, Arthur Carroll of
Big Spring and Marion Carroll, serving overseas with the U.S. Army.
