THURSDAY, MAY 18, 1961
Private graveside rites for Mrs. R. G. Davenport, 83, Abilene resident for
the last eight years, will be held Friday in Colorado City Cemetery in
Colorado City.
The Rev. Francis B. Benton, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Abilene
will officiate. Laughter-North Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Davenport was the widow of the late Dr. R. G. Davenport formerly of
Fisher County.
The family has asked that any rememberances be in the form of contributions
to the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include one son, J. M. of Abilene; two grandchildren, Mrs. W. L.
Keady, Jr. of Menlo Park, California and Robert McCall Davenport of Abilene;
and three great-grandchildren.
