KANSAS – Marie R. Dobbs, age 86, of Derby, Kansas, died on Monday, September
15, 2008. Graveside services were held Saturday, September 20, at 10 a.m. at
Colorado City Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Kiker-Seale
Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dobbs was born in Jennings to Josie Scott Allen Ward and Mary Dollar
Ward on March 28, 1922. She was a resident of Derby, Kansas and retired
cashier at E-Z Way Grocery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Lee Roy Henderson and
Martin Dobbs; grandson, Steve Lee Harp; great-grandson, Camron Paul Harp.
Survivors include daughter, Sharon Pete Harp of Derby, KS; grandsons, Brent
Harpand wife, Sarah of Derby and Brad Harp of Augusta, KS;
great-grandchildren, Morgan, Mason and Braidyn; siblings, Joy Dockrey and
husband, Kenneth of Colorado City, Jane McCarty of Ira, Ruth Frank of
Lubbock, Mae Bell Barton of Longview and Sheldon Ward and wife, Margie of
Paris.
