The Mustang Bowl in Sweetwater  was the home to the:

Inaugural Sammy Baugh Classic

beginning Sept. 9th, 10th, 11th, 2005.  The event was named in honor of the Sweetwater football icon and Pro Football Hall of Fame member.

Sammy lent his name for the football event.

He was unable to attend due to health issues, but his son David was in attendance and tossed the coin.
