Bessie Lee Hollis of 507 Neff St., age 88, died at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, Sept.
16, at Holiday Retirement Center.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Lamar Street Baptist Church with Rev. Orvel Brantley and Rev. Dale Jackson
officiating. Burial will follow in the
Garden of Memories.
She was born July 12, 1901 in Nashville, Tenn. She married William Lee Hollis July 6, 1921 in Munday and had lived in Sweetwater since 1928.
She was a member of the Lamar Street Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Mae Toland of Sweetwater and Bonnie Allene McPeek of Gilmer, Texas; two sons, Rev. W. Curtis Hollis of Midland and
Aubrey O. Hollis of Fort Worth; one brother, Earl Davis of Brownwood; one sister,
Lola Mae Radford of Paris, Texas; one half sister, Etta Kirk of Goree; a brother-in-law, Rev. Ernest J. Hollis of Sweetwater; a sister-in-law, Ruby Daniels of Sweetwater; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
