Harvie Franklin Saunders was born February 23, 1893 in Anderson Co., TX.  He married Bertie Cade on October 31, 1912 in Anderson County.  They moved to Coke County, TX in 1915, then to Nolan County after 1930.  He was a rancher and farmer.

Bertie Cade Saunders was born February 22, 1898 in Anderson County, TX.

They were the parents of nine children:  John Wilbur "Pete" Saunders, Allie Florine Saunders, Eunice Evelyn Saunders, Harvie Franklin Saunders, Jr., Bill Saunders, Frances Vae Saunders, James Howard Saunders, Rex Darby Saunders, and Eula Ethel "Doll" Saunders.
