Here is a synopsis of the deed records tracing the Holland plantation properties.
I will get you the actual copies of deed records I compiled within the next week or so. This is some stuff to tide you over, in case this is keeping you up nights. (yeah, right.) The first section traces the land that ended up being the site of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Note that this was part of Devereaux's property lost to a Sheriff's Sale and was not part of the property that included Spearman's Homestead. That, as the next section shows, is a 195-acre tract that ended up in the hands of the Booty family. As you'll see, I can't make out many of the survey markings, and I left blank what I couldn't decipher

W _ Anderson, Sheriff deeds to T.J. Knight 87 acres for $37
Sheriff's Sale : cites executions of judgments against DD Holland, et al (one of the judgments includes S. Holland, TJ Knight is plaintiff in another of the judgments). Based on those judgments the Sheriff conducts sale on Feb. 1, 1868. T.J. Knight is high bidder and pays $37.

Sheriff's sale: cites executions of same judgments as above against DD Holland. At Sheriff's sale on Feb. 1, 1868, TJ Knight is high bidder, paying $100.
A tract of land containing 500 acres, about 5 miles west of Carthage. Is part of 700 acres more or less "BEING THE PLACE UPON WHICH THE FARM OF S. HOLLAND IS SITUATED HELD AND CLAIMED BY VIRTUE OF THE HEADRIGHT CERTIFICATE OF Wm LIDDY and BEING THE TRACT OF LAND DEEDED BY S. HOLLAND TO D.D. HOLLAND ON THE 10th DAY of NOV 1854 - MINUS THE 200 ACRES for A HOMESTEAD RECORDED IN --- (looks like book E, page 7)

Property description: 6.5 mi. west of Carthage, part of Wm. Liddy headright. Beginning at a stake in the W line of said JR 1049 _(survey note)__ of the West corner of the same being the SW (?) corner of a 195 acre tract deeded to JH Booty, AJ Booty and C. Neal by Spearman Holland and Nancy Holland blank date thence W70 with the same 195 acre tract at 1049 was the __(survey note - looks like SE)__ corner of the same a peach tree for the corner thence __(survey note - looks like S20)__ east line of a 320 acre tract of land deeded by D.D. Holland and S.G. Holland his wife to A.J. Booty, J.H. Booty and A.C. Neal blank date thence S70 ___ the north line of the same in the west of the original survey thence with the W line of the same 100 __(rods?)__ to the place of beginning.

Legal agreement. H.M. Knight, only son of T.J. Knight releases Estate of T.J. and A.M. Knight - A.M. Knight gets possession of 700 acres of land in this county known as the Holland place, 200 acres of which is in the Sion House HR and 500 acres of which is in the William Liddy HR. Also the ___ in this settlement one hundred acres nearby said Holland plantations, which ___hundred acres is of the ___ ___ to the ___ in acc to and for __ in fee simple 800 acres of land, which the same H.M Knight hereby confers to him. And the same A.M Knight hereby transfers to the said H.M. Knight ... (goes on to describe what appears to be non-Holland property)

Property description: in Wm Liddy headright survey beginning at a stake in the W line of the said headright survey 1049 ; thence S20E to the NW corner of the same, being the SW corner of a tract of land containing 195 acres deeded to J.H. Booty, A.J. Booty and A.C. Neal, by Spearman Holland and Nancy Holland thence N70E with said 195 acre tract at 1049 no to the SE corner of the same a peach tree for corner, thence S20 E at --- __ the North line of a 320 acre tract deeded by D.D. and S.C. Holland to A.J. and A.H. Booty and A.C. Neal. Thence S70 with N line of the same 1049 _ to the NW corner of the same in the line of the original survey thence in the west line of the same 100 __ to the place of beginning.

Property description: 5 miles west of Carthage, beginning at the SW corner of A.J. Booty survey of 195 acres known as the old S. Holland homestead a ___ to the W B line of the Liddy survey from which a sweet gum __(survey note - looks like S60W3 __)__ marked X. Thence with said Booty's SB line N70E8686 a stake from which a Black Jack __(survey note - looks like S_E105__)__ marked X. Thence _(survey note - looks like S6E105Ms) __ a stake in the JM Ross WB line from which a red oak _(survey note - looks like S70W2Ms __)__ marked W. Thence with said Ross line S693/4W843 Ms his NW corner a stake from which a Red Oak and a line __ marked X. Thence N20 W90Ms the place of beginning.

(This is the rest of the Holland land as it was sold to Booty family and beyond. There are several mortgage documents I copied but don't include. There's one transaction in which a guy named A.J. Miller gets a large chunk of the land for about a year in 1873 or so but then turns around and sells it back a year later. Thence south 70 w with said Liddy's north boundary line at __ __ the place of beginning, "CONTAINING 195 ACRES OF LAND AND BEING OUR HOMESTEAD".

Property description: about 5.5 miles west of Carthage. Part of Wm. Liddy Headright survey. Beginning at a corner on the west boundary line of said Liddy's survey. Thence north 70 East to the east boundary of said survey to a corner. Thence south 20 east with the east boundary of said survey to a point where Francis Liddy's land corners. Thence south 70 west with said Francis Liddy's north boundary line and passing his NW corner to a point where said D.D. Holland's fence and S.E. Wall's fence intersect to a corner. Thence south 20 east with the fence about 300 varas to a corner. Thence S70W and then southward with his fence to the corner of the same, thence westward to the west boundary line of the William Liddy's survey. Thence north 20 w and __ boundary to the place of beginning. Containing 320 acres of land.
Tract two: Catherine Lindsey survey beginning at or near a post oak marked ___ of William Watson's farm. Thence __ 20 @ ___ to the __corner of the above named tract. ___ (hard to read)
Vol. J, p. 447 March 4, 1871
AC Neal deeds to James J. Booty, Augustus Booty his 1/3 interest In 320 acres, plus 222, acres, plus 195 acres, plus 87 acres purchased from Holllands. Looks like amount of sale is $1950, but the handwriting is unclear.

J.H. Booty deeds to Daniel Chadwick 79 and 2/5 acres for $331.
Property description: about four miles west of Carthage, part of the Wm. Liddy headright beginning at the SE corner of said survey from which a sweet gum __ S74 W4 1/2 __ a line __ __ N 79 1/0 W 6 /2 __ each marked X. Thence S70 W 109 __ th SE corner of 80 acres conveyed by William Liddy to Mary A. Johns. A post oak has N11 W70 __ a line N68 ES __ each marked X. Thence N 20 W at 1/25 __ the NE corner of E. Walls 80 acre tract of land at 678 ___ in all 1403 varas a stake in the north line of the land conveyed by D.D. Holland to J.H. Booty, A.J. Booty and A C. Neal from which a black Jack __ N 5-5 W5 --- a line _ S15 W4 ½ _ each marked X. Thence N40 E540 __ a stake in the East line of the original survey two large pines marked X. Thence S 20 E 678 __ a corner of said survey, thence S 70 W 441 ___ __ another corner of the same survey. Thence S20 E725 __ the place of beginning.

A.J. Booty deeds to Marshall Holland two tracts of land 195 acres in Liddy Survey plus 222 acres in Catherine Lindsey survey (says 222 acres includes the graveyard "for the family of Spearman Holland and his descendants") Price: 35 bales of cotton (witnessed by J.H. Ross)
Vol Q, p 618 Sept. 7, 1883
Marshall Holland to A.J. Booty - in return for cancellation of four promissory notes signed in April 1881, Nov. 1890, Sept. 1891 - which were given as purchase price for two tracts of land: 195 acres plus 220 acres (NOTE: the larger tract was 222 acres when Marshall Holland bought it - he might have kept 2 acres for a homestead. Also, this deed says the 220 acre tract includes one quarter acre reserved as a family graveyard "For the family of Spearman Holland and his descendants")
Vol. V, p. 77 Oct. 30, 1889
A.J. Booty and wife deed to D.B. Ross for $1200 - 195 acres in the Liddy survey and 222 acres in the Lindsey survey. Says the 195 acre tract includes "the graveyard of Holland and Cock families". (NOTE: This is the first time any deed has listed the cemetery in the 195 acre "homestead" tract, could possibly have been an error in the deed.)
