Mrs. Frazer Neal has been appointed County Chairman of the Women's Committee on War Savings. This work has been delayed in Panola County, but we hope now to make up for the lost time. Sub-chairmen will be appointed in each community as rapidly as possible.
This Monday afternoon, the first Thrift Club in the county under the woman's division was organized in the Women's Auxiliary of Central Baptist Church. It will be known as a $5 Thrift Club, each member pledging themselves to save $5 during the year and invest it in Savings Stamps.
The club was organized with these members: Mrs. D.C. Cariker, Chairman; Mrs. J.W. Gillaspie, Mrs. J.D. Warren, Mrs. C.C. Comer, Mrs. N.C. Neal, Mrs. J.R. Comer, Mrs. J.A. Smith, Mrs. Leland Malone, Mrs. A.L. Ross and Mrs. Frazer Neal.
We hope to organize a Thrift Club in every society, club and fraternal organization, etc. in the county. Any information regarding Thrift Clubs or any part of the Savings and Thrift Stamp sales will be gladly furnished by the chairman, Mrs. Frazer Neal.
