THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, December 11, 1940, Pg. 2.: Harvey Bell, 55-year-old Red River County farmer, died of pneumonia Monday at his home in Batesville community. Funeral service was held Tuesday afternoon at the Church of Christ at Blossom by Elder Connor, and burial was made at the Knights of Honor Cemetery. Surviving are his wife; six children, Mrs. Charlie Boren and Claud Bell of Blossom, Audrey Bell of Faught community; Miss Ara Bell, LaRue and Oscar Bell, alll of Paris, besides five grandchildren. Buried next to Jimmie Frances Jackson. Married Hattie Lenora Colston in 1905. See her record.

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Henry Norris “Bud” Hastings, 82, of Clarksville died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, in a Tyler, Texas, hospital.
Mr. Hastings was born Oct. 4, 1928, in Bagwell, Texas. He was a Baptist and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by
his wife, Faye Hastings. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth Hastings of Texarkana and Dwayne and
Debbie Hastings of Clarksville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and Sam Buchanan of Texarkana, Gail and Ben Hearn
of Mount Enterprise, Texas, and Belinda and Jeff Clark of Redwater, Texas. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Clarksville Funeral Home
with the Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

He was also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren (my grandfather)

Henry Joseph Hastings

Clarksville-- Henry Joseph Hastings, retired sawmill worker from Bagwell, died in Red River General Hospital Saturday. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Bagwell Church of Christ Benny Cogburn and Aden Petty officiated. Burial was in Blanton Cemetery with Clarksville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was born in Bagwell Jan 31,1895 and had lived in Red River County all his life. He was the son of Jim and Lucinda (Bevins) Hastings. He was a member of the Bagwell Church of Christ, Clarksville Oddfellows Lodge and a veteran of World War I. He is survived by his wife, Estella (Draper) Hastings of Bagwell; one son, Bud Hastings of Paris; two sisters, Bess Gasway of Clarksville and Thelma VanDeaver of Fulbright; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Hastings is Buried at Blanton

Mrs. Sallie Lavesta Hastings, wife of Henry hastings of Bagwell, died in the Red River County Hospital April 19. She was buried April 21 in the Blanton Creek Cemetery by Clarksville Funeral Home following the service in the Bagwell Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m., conducted by Rev. Mr. Carter. Pallbearers were Harry Eastman, Doyle Lee, Troy Lee, Bobby Raven, Donald Castleman, and Clarence Eastman.

Mrs. Hastings, the former Sallie Eastman was born in Morris County, Texas, May 27, 1902. She was married at Clarksville January 1, 1921.

Surviving in addition to her husband are a son, Bud Hastings, Bagwell; sister Mrs. Gladys Wilson, Lubbock; brothers Bill Eastman of Durant, John Eastman of Bagwell; Clarence Eastman of Ennis; on grand child, Sue Kizer, Bagwell.

Troy Lee

CLARKSVILLE, Texas—Troy Lee, 84, of Clarksville died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2008 in a local nursing home.
Mr. Lee was born May 23, 1922, in Merkel, Texas. He was a member of Baptist Church and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Lee; one daughter, Iris Tucker; and one son, Dan Lee. Survivors include three sisters, Delura Hutson, Mable Henry and Juanita Hastings of Bagwell, Texas. Services will be 2 p.m.
today at at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mable Janette Henry

CLARKSVILLE, Texas- Mable Janette Henry, 92, of Bagwell, Texas, died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011, in Bagwell. Mrs. Henry was born July 28, 1919, in Bagwell. She was co-owner of Henry&rsquo;s Produce and a member of Bagwell Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arvil Henry. Survivors include one sister,
Juanita Hastings of Bagwell; and a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Clarksville Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Shovan officiating. Burial will be in Blanton Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
