Calhoun Cemetery - All family records indicate
that Florence Tennesse Calhoun Wilson born 1/1/1857 in Clarksville
- died 3/8/1931 in Norman, Cleveland CO, Okla is buried in her
family Calhoun Cemetery. We show her husband John Melton Wilson
3/7/1845-Seiver Co Arkansas d-7/8/1921 in Manchester is also
buried there. THey were married 1/27/1876 in Red River Co. I
think her father Giles Bowers (Billy) Calhoun is buried there
also. Along with his wife Martha Ervin. He was married 4 times.
Giles was a private in the Red RIver Dragoons 2nd Co Red River

Note: Calhoun Cemetery is located on the M.D. Whittle, Jr. property in Manchester. Directions are difficult so asking Mr. Whittle is your best bet. Calhoun Cemetery is on the right side of a dirt road. It is fenced in with no sign and unkept. There are five grave markers visible amongst the underbrush.Sandy Bevill
