Savannah Springs B Cemetery,
4 Jul 1887,"This cemetery is located in the southeast quadrant
of Red River County, Texas. GPS COORDINATES: Datum WGS84: 33
Deg 31.881N, 94 Deg 51.317W. For years we had been hearing of
a lone black burial beside the old road at the south edge of
the Savannah Cemetery and just to the east out in the woods.
We visited the site on 27 Dec 2003 and did indeed find the burial
plus indications of more burials there. We will return to the
site with help at a later date and attempt to uncover more markers.
It is drivable to within a few feet of this burial."
