Know all men by these presents that we (ms) William Slingland* and (ms) Travis G. Wright* are held and firmly bound unto James D. Harding in the penal sum of two thousand dollars good and lawful money of the United States of America for the payment of which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves, our Heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly and severally by these presents. Signed with our names and sealed with our seals this the 21st January, 1833.

The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas William Slingland* has this day sued out a writ of attachment against James D. Harding in the sum of one thousand dollars if the said William Slingland* shall prove and substantiate his claim against the said James D. Harding in a trial at law, then his obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue (?) as witness our hands and seals this the day and year first above written.
