which took State Medical examinations and began the practice of medicine about 1881 or 1882 and continued till a stroke of paralysis in the fall of 1904 disabled him. He died February 18, 1906. Margaret died March 8, 1927. Of their eight children, three died in infancy, the others surviving them.

1.  Lucian Lee Howison, who farmed and later operated a cafe, was married first to Eula Hart of Bogata, who died August 18, 1919. Several years later Lucian was married to Miss Ethel Bray of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, where they now live. Three children were born of the first marriage: Lee Hart Howison, married Pet Williams of Mt. Vernon, where they live, farmer and stockman, also trades in oil properties; William Allen Howison, single, employee of Comptroller's office, located at Tyler; Helen Louise Howison, married Lester Smith who died about two years later, after several years married George Brooke of Douglassville, Texas. They now live at Del Rio, where George works for State Highway Department.

2.  Helen Margaret Howison, married Dr. Marvin W. DeBerry of Bogata, who practiced here and at Cuthand this County. Is a war veteran and since war has worked with Veteran's Bureau at Dallas and San Antonio, where Helen died November 9, 1932.

3.  John William Howison, married Minnie DeBerry, he is now in employ of Old Age Assistance Commission in this county. Their four
