Benjamin Geer was born in Alabama in 1829. After his father's death he ran a gin, mill, and tanyard, made saddletrees and Mr. Tom Prentiss used to go every year and trim the saddles. He was educated at the McKenzie College. He married Mary Flinton at Woodland, Texas, but lived near Kiomitia. He died in January, 1879. His children were: Cora, who never married, Ida, Garland, and Anthony Wellington II. Nina Charlottee Geer [?] never married. Ida Geer was educated in Honey Grove. She married Babe Perot at Davenport, Texas, but lived at Paris, Texas. Garland Geer II married Zemmie St. John at Manchester, Texas. Anthony Wellington Geer II attended Captain Lyle's School in Paris. He married Elizabeth Isabelle Taylor at Manchester. They lived near Kiomitia and Manchester. Cynthia Jane Geer was born in Franklin County, Alabama, on September 12, 1831. She came to Texas in April, 1836. She attended Mrs. Todd's School in Clarksville. She married Isaac Hudson Patterson at Kiomitia, in September, 1855. Their children were: Isaac Hudson Patterson, Jr., who died in infancy, Samuel [Houston], Mittie Belle, and Amelia Jane. Samuel Houston Patterson attended Captain Lyle's school in Paris: He never married. Mittie Belle Patterson attended school in Paris. She married Nicholls September 5, 1877, at Kiomitia. The second time she married G. I. Bailey, October 15, 1889, at Kiomitia. Amelia Jane Patterson attended school in Paris, |
