WOLFE CITY -- Wayne Vernon "Snooks" Green, 93, of Rockwall died Saturday, November 2, 2002, at Lake Pointe Senior Care Center in Rockwall. Funeral services are at 2:00 PM, November 5, at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Reisor officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Born June 11, 1909, in the White Rock community, Hunt County, he was the son of Wayne Green and Esta Lowry Green. He married Bernice Maud Shields on January 26, 1934, in Greenville, Texas.

Mr. Green was a retired farmer and rancher and had worked for the City of Greenville.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Harwell of Arlington; son and daughter-in-law Billy Green and Beverly Ray Green of Mesquite; six grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

His wife, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
