Funeral services were conducted for Mr. Huse Tuesday June 18 at 2 pm at the Lamar and Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. J.C. Smith and Lannie Stimson officiating. Burial was in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
He was born May 20, 1892 in Kaufman, Texas the son of James Madison and Julia Ann Couch Huse. He moved to Rockwall at an early age and had been living in Dallas since about 1945. A member of the Baptist Church, a veteran of WW1 and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr Huse was a retired carpenter and contractor.
His survivors include his wife Mrs. Minnie Huse; six daughters, Mrs. Alton Morris San Benecia California,Mrs. R.E. Cox Costa Mesa, California, Mrs. Robert Smith, Mrs. R.F. Fitzhugh, Mrs. Ben H. Dryden and Mrs. C.R. Smith all of Dallas; five sons, Roy Leon Huse of Spearman, Henry Huse of Abilene, James Robert Huse of Lubbock, Virgil Huse of Flagstaff Arizona, and Jessie L. Huse of San Diego California; two brothers Henry Huse, Dallas; I.J. Huse , Gainesville, and sister Mrs. Lula Sandifer Georgetown: 30 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A son, his parents, two brothers and a sister preceded him in death. Pallbearers were Ben J. Shaw, Johnny Houston, Marvin Houston, Freeman Houston, Dewey Askins, Doug Funderburk and Jack Shewmake. Sam Huse, Mrs. Joe Odell and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Wade attended the funeral services of their uncle.
