The following newspaper clipping was found in my grandmother's trunk, (Grace Garner Walker).  There is no exact date as to when it was published, or which newspaper it was taken from,as she subscribed to both Breckenridge and Throckmorton newspapers.

Headline: "TO BE INDUCTED"
Fifty-seven men are included in Throckmorton county's group to be inducted into the army on Tuesday, July 14. This is by far the largest number to be called at one time to date, and even this number does not entirely fill the county's quota, which is 66 men. However, members of the local board believe the quota will be filled when reports are received from enlistment centers by those who have volunteered in advance of the call. Following is a list of the men who will be called into service next Tuesday, as announced by the local board:
