1854, Bolivar G. Fowler born about 1858, William Henry Fowler (1860 -
1942), Thomas Fowler born about 1862 and Vannie Fowler born 1869.
At the time she applied for a Confederate Widow's Pension in the name
of William Fowler she lists she is Mrs. Albert
Maberry (1860-1939) who was a lawyer and judge in Upshur County
so she had apparently remarried |

(1835-1919). Their children included Nancy Fowler born about
1852, Simeon J. Fowler born about 1854, Bolivar G. Fowler born about
1858, William Henry Fowler (1860 - 1942), Thomas Fowler born about
1862 and Vannie Fowler born 1869. During the Civil War he enlisted as a Private on 1 March 1862 in William E. Simpson's Co G, 17th Regiment
Texas Cavalry, CSA. He was elected a
2nd Lieutenant 5 Jul 1861. According to his Confederate
Discharge he was 5 foot, 9 inches, fair complexion, hazel eyes, and
sandy hair. He was discharged 16 Jul 1862 probably due to
disability by Lt. Col. S. B. Hendricks, 17th Regiment. |
