Dictated by my grandfather, Harvey S. Wade, who was born in Rosewood, Upshur Co., Texas, just northeast of the town at he home of his parents, the Whitfield Anthony Wade home. Submitted by Ron
Wade The early Rosewood Baseball Team played other teams like Enon, Grice and Little Mound. Members of the Rosewood Team were led by it's Captain, Pete Dugger (Adison Granville Pete Dugger 1881-1946). Members of the team included the catcher, Charlie Bowin (Charles W. Bowin 1866-1939), Elmus McKinney (Elmus Lee McKinney born 1876-1951), Bill Young, Will Young (Willis Young 1871-1940) , Arlie Keller (1880-1956), Harvey S. Wade (1884-1980), Pat Mathis, Arthur Willard (1878-1910) and Craig Willard (born 1882), Obie Tate, Porter Cumbie (1880-1951) and Alva Long (John Alva Long 1887-1963).
