J W DICKERSON HIT BY CAR
J W Dickerson, a citizen well known to everyone in the Gladewater territory,
was seriously
injured Sunday, November 2, when he stepped in front of a moving car.
For several hours it was not known how serious the injury was, and
his friends were much
concerned over his condition. After several days of suffering,
however, he is out on the
streets, but is not entirely recovered yet.
PICNIC ON RIVER
Despite the showers or rain which fell Monday Nov. 11, during the day
several people from
town enjoyed a hunting and fishing excursion on the river. During
the morning the men hunted
and by lunch a goodly amount of game had been killed. A lovely
lunch was served at the noon
hour. Those who enjoyed this "stunt" were Mr & Mrs Lyle Hendrix,
Mr & Mrs John Hendrix,
Mr & Mrs T L Bray, Mr & Mrs Chas Norton, Mrs E T Norton, Miss
Fay Norton, Mrs Lillian
Hendrix and Cronje Shepperd.
Mrs Howard Bell, who has been seriously ill at the home of her daughter
Mrs J T Little at Pittsburg, was brought home
Tuesday Nov. 11 by Mrs R M Wood and Miss Pauline Bell.
Mrs Bell stoond the trip very well. We hope she will continue
to improve.
