Verner, Joyce Alene

GILMER -- Services for U.S. Army Capt. Joyce Alene Verner, 
ret., of Gilmer, will be 1 p.m. Monday, October 9, 2006, 
at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, with the Rev. W.W. Cotton 
officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in 
Community Cemetery. Arrangements are by Turner Bros. 
Mortuary. Ms. Verner was born in Greenville, and she died 
October 4, 2006, in Tyler. She was a U.S. Army veteran, RN, 
and a Baptist. Survivors include her daughter, Shelley Verner; 
mother, Evelyn Hale Verner; brother, Thomas Verner; and sister, 
Remona Tate. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, October 8, 
2006, at the mortuary.
