Comments: After Mary ROBERTSON STINSON, the mother, died, David and Samuel
moved to Harrison Co., TX. along with their younger siblings. David
had custody of the youngest ones, of whom was my great, great grandmother,Matilda.
They came to the Republic of Texas in 1839 where David became a lawyer
in 1840.
