I am seeking information about a Dan MURRAH who reportedly was the sheriff of Schleicher County. I do not have dates or any other information except that he was supposed to have weighed 300 pounds when he died. My father and great-grandfather were Daniel MURRAH's, and I am trying to trace family genealogy. Thank you for any information.
RUSSELL

Richard Robertson RUSSELL, owned what are now the Rocking R Ranch, the Figure 3 Ranch, and other Schleicher county lands, originally purchased in 1905. He was my great-grandfather, and the Figure 3 ranch is in trust, for remaindermen of the RUSSELL family. The Figure 3 Ranch on Hwy 190, and the Circle Dot Ranch (partitioned from the Big Canyon Ranch) in Terrell County, are ranches still held by Richard RUSSELL's direct descendants. Other RUSSELL's were ranchers and/or business people in West Texas around the turn of the century, and are probably related to Richard Russell. I would love to hear from anyone who has "RUSSELL" in their family background.
