Clipping from collection of Nancy Townsend Smithhart, shared by Wanda Calder Martin --
LAMED BY A YEARLING
Last Monday as Mr. Miles Smithhart of the Spicewood Community
was turning his cattle out of the milk yard, a yearling hooked
or butted him, breaking the hock of his hip joint. Mr. Smithhart
is more that seventy years of age and he can hardly hope to
recover from the lameness. He is in serious condition.
Also have copy of a handwritten note stating "M.A. Sr bull gored himl in the mild cow pen found by wife.
