Gerald needs help identifying some of the people in this photo and the date it was taken.  He wrote:

"I THINK they are ( Back row from left to right)

Vernon Watkins,
Kinneth  (correct spelling) M. Chambliss,
Josephine Watkins Chambliss,
unknown girl,
Fonzie Watkins Brewster

I am not sure the girls are married at the time the picture was taken but Josephine looks like she has a wedding band on and she married in 1923 and Fonzie in 1928.

I don't know any in the front row and I am not real sure of the back row.

What ever you can do for me will be greatly appreciated.  Everyone I know that could help are gone now."

Can anyone help identify?  If so please e-mail me at

** UPDATE **
15 April 2008

Many thanks to Glenda Martin who wrote that when she found this "mystery picture", she took a copy to a gathering of Hibler relatives.  Here is what she found out from relatives at the reunion:

"The unidentified girl on the top row left of Fonzie Brewster is Velva Hibler Profitt.

Boy on bottom right in cowboy hat is Homer Hibler

The baby with the curls is G. D. Hibler.

There was speculation that the man holding the baby could be Hunter Hibler, the father of these kids, but no one could be sure.

The identifications were made by Regina Hibler Glimp, G. D. Hibler, and Novella Hibler Wiley, all siblings of
Velva, Homer, and of course, G. D. himself.

The Hiblers and Watkins were cousins I believe, through Mary Minerva Sexton Watkins
Hunter's wife was Mary Lou Ella Sexton.

I am the former wife of Brooks Bolt, son of Lorene Hibler Bolt, who was daughter of Hunter and sister to all the aforementioned.....
