S/Sgt Hubert K. Owens, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Owens. Entered the Air Corps in Sept., 1941, trained at Jefferson Bks., Mo. Served in New Guinea, Papua, Australia, Solomons and Dutch East Indies. Awarded five Bronze Stars, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon, Pre-Pearl Harbor and Pres. Citation. Husband of the former Peggy Claxton.
