My great grandfather Francis David Scott POND is buried in IOOF cemetery in Colorado City.  I have no knowledge of him being a Civil War Vet, yet he is listed as such as is his brother John Broadway POND.  Can someone tell me where this info was obtained?  Is there perhaps a marker on his grave.  If someone could check the cemetery for me I need to verify his wife, Mary Susan PISTOLE POND is buried next to him.  I saw a list from that cemetery one time and she was not listed, however I have folder from funeral home saying she was buried there.  In fact I have quite a few relatives buried there.  At this time I am recovering from a broken ankle and won't be visiting any cemeteries soon.  I don't have the dates in front of me but I think FDS POND died in early twenties and Miss MOLLY died middle thirties.  Are there any other POND or PISTOLE researchers out there?  Be glad to share any info I have as well as pictures.

I am a direct descendent of Francis David Scott POND who appears on your list as a veteran of the Civil War buried in Colorado City.  I do not have that information, nor do I recall it ever being mentioned in the family.  He was born in 1848, a little young, but maybe not.  His brother John Broadway POND, a Baptist minister was older and is also listed.  Would be grateful for details on their service and where this info was obtained.

I was able to get most of the black off to see what it says, but the first few letters of the first name I am not sure of.  It looks like an L and may be Loretta or Louetta.  This was from a family who lived in Colorado City, Texas, and could be related to NEWBY, HILL, WALDEN, SEALES. Previously were in Parker Co., Tx..... also.  I would love to find a family for these pictures.  Wynelle Chaney Holden

I am trying to locate the place of death and burial site of Celicia Elizabeth SANDIFER WELCH, my husband's great, great grandmother. Family sources have told me that she is buried in the Spade Cemetery in Mitchell County. Celicia migrated to Texas with her husband, JOHN GEORGE WELCH, who came with the SANDIFER family from Mississippi via Arkansas.  She was born in Copiah Cnty, MS on 11 May 1825, and married John George Welch on 16 Oct. 1839 (also in Copiah Co.,MS).  They had 14-15 children all of whom were born in MS or AR. Most or all of them came with their parents to Texas. Several of them settled in  Real,  Uvalde, and Edwards County,Texas.  John George WELCH is buried in Salem Cemetery in LLano, Texas.  Also searching for Celicia's parents, who are reported to have died while living with John and Celicia. They are JOSHUA A. SANDIFER, b.19 Sept.1797 in SC  d.10 Jul 1882, and LINCY LEE SANDIFER, b.28 Nov.1801 in NC d.24 June 1882 in Kinney?Tx. Greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide me.
