Gorman (1817 Ga. - 1882 Goliad, Tx.) and Frances Arnold Gorman (1818 Ga. - 1903 both parents buried Oak Hill Cemetery, Goliad, Tx.).  Churchill Gorman married Louise Philoman Marie Fitch (1849 ? 1919).   Their children included May A. Gorman born about 1870, Mabel Bird Gorman(1872 - 1952 married J. O. Fitts (1862 - 1893) & Dr. Thomas B. Hamill & she is buried here too), William Clyde Gorman (1874 - 1945 married Verona Beck Gorman 1877 - 1957), Helen Hortense Gorman(1876 - 1962 married William Lafayette Snow 1867 - 1942 and they are buried Woodside Cemetery, Grand Saline, Tx.), Eugene Floyd Gorman (1881 - 1894), Nellie Salone Gorman (1885 - 1885), Thollie Gorman (1886 - 1955 & was a RR Engineer), and Charlie Jesse Gorman (1887 - 1941 married Anna Fariss Harris Gorman 1884 - 1968 and buried Laredo City Cemetery, Webb Co., Tx.).  During the Civil War he enlisted in Co. A, Capt. Henry Noll's Co., Col. Phillip Fulcord's Batallion, Texas Volunteer Cavalry, consolidated with Patton's Cavalry.  Col. Fulcord was a witness for him on his application.  At the close of the war he was in charge of a train of cotton for the Confederate Government and didn't surrender according to his Confederate Soldier Pension Application in 1915 since no train was available in Goliad to Yankee location.

Grant Wiley - 4-27-1843 8-30-1890 Per Ronald Wade - Wiley Grant, born in  N.C., the son of Alexander Grant (1811 Rutherford NC ? 1893 Polk Co.,Tn.) & Susan Sukey Lytle (1815 Burke, NC ? 1880 Polk, Tn.).  In 1856 in Tenn. he married Susan Bruce (born about 1835  Tn. ? Tx., her placed of death & burial are unknown).  Their children included Nancy C. Grant (1856 ? 1898), Elizabeth A. Grant (born about 1858, married Mr. Love by 1875), Harriett R. Grant born about 1861, Susanna "Fannie" Frances Grant (1863 ? 1918), George A. Grant (1866 ? 1930 married Mittie Glenn Grant 1867 - 1922, both of whom met a sad death - Article ).  During the Civil War he enlisted in Co. 1 H,  26th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry (3rd East Tennessee Volunteers).   Some say Wiley Grant was born in Tenn. but they didn't live in Tenn. until their move to Tenn. after living in Ga. shown at the time of the 1850 Census.  He died in Big Sandy, Upshur Co, Texas.
