Emily Steelman (1871 – 1928).   In 1917 in Upshur Co., Tx. he married Winnie Mae Chamberlain (1901 – 1972), and their children were Malissa Langford, Boyd Langford (1918 – 1918), Roy B Langford born 1920, William Buford Langford (1920 – 1993), Calvin Verl "Babe" Langford (1922 – 1993), Frank T. Langford (1922 – 1930), Clair Reace Langford born 1928, Betty Sue Langford (1931 – 2001), Patsy Ruth Langford (1931 – 1933), Kenneth Leo Langford (1939 – 1989) and Larry Charles Langford (1944 – 2002).  He was named for General Nathan Forest and was delivered by area midwife, the Southern Heroine of the Civil War, Emma Sansom Johnson. She helped Gen. Forest and his army escape the Yankee troops and is remembered with a statue in her home town in Alabama.  Per Ronald Wade

Langford Young Marion May 10, 1831 Sep 10, 1916 Young Marion Langford     Picture   Young Marion & Daughters Picture   Born the son of James Langford II (1770-1854) & Candis Vinson (1800-1840) of Marion County, Ga., he married Elizabeth Jane Nutt (1836-1896) on 13 Dec 1854 in Marion Co., Ga..  After the death of his father he sold his father's plantation and with the Nutt family moved to Leake Co., Mississippi.  In 1858 the Beluctor Baptist Church records show that Young Marion Langford and wife Elizabeth joined the church by "experience and baptism."  During the Civil War he served in Captain W. S. Parrott's 40th Regiment of Mississippi Volunteers, later known as Company H along with his brother Francis Franklin Langford and 3 nephews,  James E. Langford, Philip Brady Langford, and Abner Hammond Langford. Young Marion was captured by the Union troops in the battle of Vicksburg, paroled July 7, 1963 and captured again on Dec. 16, 1864 near Nashville, Tennessee during the seige of that city under Gen. John B. Hood. Transferred to the Point Lookout, Maryland Union Prison and released June 5, 1865. In 1867 Y.M. and Frank Langford and families traveled by ox-drawn wagons to Upshur County to live.  In 1874 shown as active members of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Upshur Co. and he and his wife were 1878 charter members of the Little Mound Baptist Church.  Parents of Oscar Fisoline Langford (1855 – 1860), Emma Victoria Langford (1857 – 1952), Young Marion C. Andrew Wilson (1782 – 1885) & Millie/Willie Sanders (1797 – 1861).  He married on 14 Jan 1844 in Pendleton, SC to Charity White (1825 – 1891) and their children included Lucretia Wilson (1844 - 1885) and Elliot Keith Wilson (20 Sep 1846 - 7 Apr 1920).  After Charity's death he married on 7 Dec 1891 to Martha Ann Stringer Wilson (1835-1918 buried in unmarked grave at Chilton Cemetery, Upshur Co., Tx.).  Mr. Wilson was a Blacksmith.
