After an illness of a year, Mrs. R. V. Barrett of Lake Victor passed away in Rollins-Brook Hospital Saturday, September 26, at 1:45am.
Funeral services were from the Lake Victor Baptist Church at 3:pm Sunday, conducted by the Rev. George H. Brown of Temple, assisted by G. M Cole, Bill Merritt and Howard English. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Briggs & Gamel.
Mrs. Barrett was Eva Risinger, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Risinger, pioneers of Burnet County, and was born near Lake Victor on May 23, 1892. She was married to Mr. Barrett June
24, 1911. She was converted and united with the Lake Victor
Baptist Church when she was 15 years of age and remained an active
member as long as her health permitted.
Survivors are the husband; one son, Orion Barrett of Lampasas; one daughter, Mrs. Geneva Farquhar of Lake Victor; two brothers, John and George Risinger of Lake Victor; three sisters, Mrs. Addie Flach of Beaumont, Mrs. Helen Ellebracht and Mrs. Alice Kenan of Lake Victor; and six grandchildren.
