Wm. R. Biggs was a Civil War veteran and prisoner of war from Arkansas, who came to Texas after the end of the war, settling in and around Llano and Burnet County. His family came to Virginia from Ireland, lived and proliferated in the Appalachian area, went to Illinois, Arkansas, and then to Texas.
