Aline E. Bradley, age 79 of Austin, Texas died Monday December 31, 2007.
Aline was born in Austin on October 9, 1928, to Wesley and Hertha Wunneburger.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, John W. Bradley,
Jr.; daughter, Linda Sue Woods and husband Lester; son, John Wesley
Bradley and wife Joyce; granddaughters, Leslie Lynn Woods, Linda Sarah
Woods and Kelley Aline Bradley; and grandson, Travis Wesley Bradley.
She was preceded in death by both her parents.
Aline was President of the Civitan Club, Austin, Texas. She was very
proud of her Texan heritage, and in conjunction therewith, she was a
past Chairperson of the French Legation of the Daughters of Republic of
Texas (DRT), as well as past President of the Llano Chapter of the DRT
and custodian of the Red Top Jail in Llano. She was also a member of
the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
She had a tremendous love for flowers and all living plants and was
active for years in the Marble Falls Garden Club. Aline had a love of
cooking, and would rather have been in her kitchen than anywhere else,
with the possible exceptions of going fishing, working in her flower
gardens or visiting with her grandchildren. From an early age Aline
loved to dance and at the drop of a hat would grab Johnny for a spin
around the living room.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday,
January 3, 2008, at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Funeral Services
will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 4 at Parker Lane United
Methodist Church, 2105 Parker Lane, Austin. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made in Aline's honor to the American Cancer
Society or the charity of choice. Obituary and guestbook online at
