DR. BROWNLEE'S FUNERAL

The funeral of Dr. J. S. Brownlee at the Odd Fellows Cemetery last Wednesday afternoon was the most widely attended funeral ever held in Burnet.

The burial was conducted by the Masonic Order, of which Dr. Brownlee was a member.  Both the Burnet public school and the R. E. Lee HIgh School dismissed for the occasion and with the Masons and Woodmen of the World marched in a body from the residence of the deceased to the grave.

Every business house in town was closed and business entirely suspended during the funeral.

Never within the history of this town has the death of a man been so universally and deeply regretted.
