The remains of this sweet young lady and life-long sufferer arrived in
Burnet last Sunday morning for burial in the family square. She
died in Manor at Dr. Jim Watson's residence, having been confined to her bed many weary months.
A cripple since childhood, life furnished little pleasure to her,
except that she lived on a higher plane of duty and goodness than most
of us, and then she cultivated a naturally bright intellect as
assiduously as if she were in the possession of perfect health.
Did you ever see a more patient, a purer face, a m ore pathetic presence? She wore in death the imagined look of an angel.
A gentle, consistent Christian life is gone out, to be returned in celestial happiness.
The remains were followed to Odd Fellows Cemetery by a large circle of friends, Rev. Sherman preaching the sermon.
