Brother Davis moved to Burnet County in 1906, and settled near Lake Victor, Texas, where he was engaged in farming.

When the Masonic Lodge at Lake Victor was being established, Brother Davis affiliated as a Charter Member of such, and was chosen to be the first Junior Warden of said Lodge.  He was duly and constitutionally installed as such on January 1, 1910.

On October 15, 1910, Brother Davis demitted from Lake Victor Lodge No. 1011, and on July 8, 1911, he affiliated with Mt. Horeb Lodge No. 137 A. F. & A. M., located at Mahomet, Texas, in Burnet County.  He demitted from Mt. Horeb Lodge No. 137 on September 9, 1916, and on December 9, 1916, he once again affiliated with Florence Lodge No. 338, which lodge he remained a member of until he died.

Brother Davis was a member of the Baptist Church, having become a Christian very early in life.  He was very active in Masonic circles and held many offices in such.  He was a gentleman in every respect, and was held in high esteem by everyone who ever knew him.  He died at Andice, Texas on November 16, 1917, and was buried in the Andice Cemetery.
