Here is a family picture of John Henry Gillum and all living children at the time, and some spouses.
It was taken in Oakalla, TX, around 1908-1909.

John Henry was the oldest son of Absalom Barton Gillum.  He married Charity (Tobey) Bannister. The child held by Charity is her grand daughter through Avery Gillum and Anna Nettleship; they both died of Typhoid Fever in 1907,

 Notice Ira Lawson (Jack) Gillum standing behind John Wesley.  He has a crutch, His leg was amputated (rattlesnake bite) by his uncle, Dr Luscius Hine, around 1903. 

He went on to become the Tax Collector for Williamson County for 42 years.
