Mrs. Ella Hardcastle Passes Away Wednesday
Funeral services for
Mrs. Ella Hardcastle, a pioneer citizen of Bertram, was held at 4:00
p.m. Friday from the First Baptist Church in Bertram, with Rev. Wayne
E. Dickerson of Austin, former pastor, and Rev. Jerome Duderstadt,
pastor of the First Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in Fall Creek Cemetery near Spicewood under direction of Edgar Funeral Home.
Mrs.
Hardcastle was born Feb. 27, 1883. She was Miss Ella Hays before her
marriage to Mr. William Eddman Franklin on December 8, 1904. Mr
Franklin preceded her in death Feb. 6, 1925. She later was married to
Enoch Hardcastle on July 28, 1927.
Mrs. Hardcastle died Wednesday, June 12th in an Austin hospital. She was a longtime resident of Bertram.

Serving
as pallbearers were grandsons: Samuel Ratliff, Hermanlee Caddell,
Thomas Franklin, Randolf Franklin, Alton R. Franklin and Billy Joe
Franklin.
